It will accept stains and finishes well but is most often finished with a clear coat that preserves the warmth and accentuates the color and beauty of the timber's natural grain.

Standard A grade quarter sawn walnut veneer has a tendency to be consistent in color and typically allows for some flaws such as occasional pin knots and very mild figure or flashing. It is typically book matched with the grain running along the 8' dimension. Walnut is a hardwood of medium density, really easy to deal with and sturdy. It is light with an uniform moderately coarse texture and medium porous grain.
