These work well in Contemporary or Modern areas.
Wide plank flooring, lighter shades, specifically, are also gaining popularity in modern spaces. In large spaces, the wide planks and light wood can provide an airy, open feeling. Wide plank flooring also means fewer seams between boards and therefore fewer interruptions of the natural lines of both the wood and the space.
